Hoffer joins the Battery after a successful rookie pro season with FC New York that saw him earn USL PRO All-League Second Team honors.
A native of Englewood NJ, Hoffer 6-1, 175 lbs., 22 yrs., began his college soccer career at the State University of New York at Oneonta, where he was named rookie of the year, before transferring to St. John’s University prior to his sophomore year.
Hoffer played 22 games for FC New York in 2011 scoring two goals. At the end of the 2011 USL Pro season, Hoffer was loaned to Finnish second division side Ekenäs IF. During his college years he also played with the Brooklyn Knights in the USL Premier Development League.
