ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Rochester Rhinos will be conducting a tryout this fall at Total Sports Experience in Rochester, N.Y. from Tuesday, December 11th through Thursday, December 13th 2012. The tryout will highlight some of the best collegiate talent in American soccer as well as young international talents who are trying to break into American soccer.
The tryout will be the Rhinos' first of the 2012-13 off-season. Last season Rhinos head coach Jesse Myers signed forward Kendell McFayden out of one of the Rhinos combines, and he is already excited about some of the talent committed to attend this year’s first event.
“I think we will have some interesting players coming in.” Myers said. “I think this will be a quality event, and I’m looking forward to it. Last year we signed Kendell and he ended up scoring three goals for us this season. This is a legitimate opportunity for players to pursue their dreams of becoming a professional, and it will also give international professionals the ability to try out the U.S. market.”
There are a limited number of spots available for the Rhinos tryout from December 11th to 13th, so interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. Any players interested in participating in the tryout can find more information and an application on rhinossoccer.com.
