WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Wilmington Hammerheads have released their 2013 Pro Combine schedule for potential players entering the upcoming 2013 USL PRO regular season. The Hammerheads have five combines scheduled between the months of November and March – three at Legion Stadium and two of which are located in areas other than Wilmington.
Pro Soccer Consulting (PSC) will be hosting two of the professional combines for the Wilmington Hammerheads this winter in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and England as Head Coach David Irving hopes to find more talent to add to the 2012 USL PRO championship finalist squad for the 2013 season.
Irving used PSC combines prior to their successful 2012 season to sign a number of players including fan-voted 2012 Hammerheads Defender of the Year Yahaya Musa and target forward Steven Perry. Irving, along with Hammerheads Assistant Coach Mark Briggs, will be in Fort Lauderdale in November and will later travel overseas to St. George’s Park National Football Centre in England in January looking for players capable of playing professionally for the Hammerheads.
Since the Hammerheads’ return in 2010, Coach Irving has recruited a number of successful players from England including 2010 USL PRO Rookie of the Year Luke Mulholland, as well as Hammerheads players Paul Nicholson, Gareth Evans and Tom Parratt who have all been key players for his team.
