Host Hammerheads looking for sixth straight win

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Eagles will look to continue their winning streak to six games on Saturday night as they take on the Wilmington Hammerheads at Charlotte Christian Stadium at 7 p.m. With a three-way tie for sixth place in the USL PRO standings and three point separating five teams in the battle for the playoffs, every win is vitally important to earn a place in the postseason.

The Eagles are currently one of the teams tied for sixth place sitting alongside the Los Angeles Blues and Richmond Kickers. Having hit their stride at just the right time in the season, the Eagles as a whole are creating results, with 10 different players scoring the last 12 goals.

Saturday offers a big opportunity to the Eagles, who currently sit just three points behind Wilmington in fourth place in the standings. The Hammerheads also play on Friday night against the Dayton Dutch Lions, meaning the margin could be wider come Saturday night, but the Eagles will take heart from their 1-1 draw at Legion Stadium on May 19th in their first meeting of the season.

The Eagles are proud to host, Monroe NC's own Karla Davis Saturday night at the game. Karla has been featured on NBC's "the Voice" and has made a name for herself in Nashville. Tickets for Saturday night's contest can be purchased online at www.charlotteeagles.com
