WILMINGTON, N.C. – The Wilmington Hammerheads have officially announced that they have signed Whole Foods Market of Wilmington as a sponsor for their 2012 season and as an official Game Night sponsor for their match against the Los Angeles Blues on June 30, 2012. Whole Foods Market offers shoppers the highest quality, best-tasting and freshest foods in an inviting setting. Each store is unique and is designed to meet the needs of the neighborhoods where we live and work.
Residents of the Greater Wilmington Area and the surrounding region will now have access to North Carolina’s newest Whole Foods Market location. The Whole Foods Market is scheduled to open its doors at their Grand Opening on Wednesday, May 23 at 9:00 a.m. in Oleander Place shopping center at 3804 Oleander Drive.
The morning of the May 23rd, prior to the Grand Opening, a free breakfast, compliments of Whole Foods Market, will be served in the parking lot at 8 a.m. followed by a bread-breaking ceremony with Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo at 8:30.
On Sunday, May 20 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and on Monday, May 21 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Whole Foods Market is offering a sneak-preview to customers – advanced registration required. For a $5 donation to Dreams of Wilmington and Good Shepherd Center, curious customers can take a tour of the new facility days before the Grand Opening.
The Wilmington Hammerheads support the Good Shepherd Center whom is the non-profit organization for the May 19th home match against the Charlotte Eagles. Good Shepherd Center will have a booth set up at the entrance of Legion Stadium and will be accepting donations of items from their foundation’s wish list.
The Hammerheads will highlight the Whole Foods Market at their match against the LA Blues on June 30, 2012 which will also include a fireworks display in celebration of July 4th in the upcoming week.
