CHARLESTON, S.C. -- avVenta Worldwide will continue as the Charleston Battery’s official jersey sponsor for the 2012 USL PRO season marking the fourth year of the partnership. The Charleston Battery will wear four different custom designed UMBRO jerseys in 2012; all will feature the avVenta Worldwide logo. The Battery will debut its new home jersey this Saturday night against MLS’s Columbus Crew in the Carolina Challenge Cup.

New UMBRO Jersey
In 2012 the Charleston Battery will wear four new UMBRO uniforms all featuring the avVenta Worldwide logo. The new home jersey incorporates the traditional Charleston Battery gold and black stripes, the second strip features vermillion and black stripes.
To commemorate the start of the 20th season the Battery will wear a special ‘retro ‘93’ jersey for the home opener only on April 14 featuring the club’s original colors – black and white stripes. The fourth jersey is a special pink Battery jersey that the team will wear on Saturday, May 12 as a fundraiser for Dragon Boat Charleston and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
2012 Official Charleston Battery jerseys on sale now
Official Charleston Battery jerseys are on sale now priced at $55 plus tax; the jerseys are also available for purchase at the Blackbaud Stadium Pro Shop during regular business hours and during all stadium events.
Jersey debuts on Saturday during Carolina Challenge Cup
The Charleston Battery open their 2012 preseason on Saturday night with a game against Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew at Blackbaud Stadium (7:15 p.m.). The match is part of the Carolina Challenge Cup that also features MLS’s Chicago Fire and DC United who square off in the first game of the double-header at 5 p.m. ($10-$18, 971-GOAL / charlestonbattery.com).
